How to play Rumbots
Steer your bot. Find your route. Let the blaster handle the rest.
Rumbots is a robot arena shooter with automatic firing. You steer the bot, choose your route, jump between levels, and try to get 100 eliminations before a rival does. Join ongoing online rounds with 25 total fighter slots. Bots fill empty slots and a human joining replaces one. Everyone gets a generated funny name.

Phone controls
Use the left thumb area: push up to move forward, left or right to steer, and down to reverse. Tap JUMP again in midair for your second jump. The SPRINT button toggles sprinting. TARGET switches eligible rivals. Use the view button to change perspective.
Automatic firing and weapon ranges
In the default auto mode, you do not need to hold a shooting button. Your robot targets visible rivals ahead and fires when they are close enough. The Pulse Rifle reaches 18 metres, the Vector SMG reaches 15 metres, and the Breacher spread weapon reaches 9 metres. Terrain and solid cover block shots. Upgrades increase damage, not firing range.
Jumping between levels
Use the wide ramps to reach the mid and sky decks, or double-jump onto raised ledges. Press Space once to leave the ground and a second time before landing for a stronger upward boost. Landing restores both jumps. Walls, platform sides, props, and overhead beams are solid—find a route around them or jump onto an accessible top.
Kill streaks and gun upgrades
Every three eliminations in one life unlocks the next weapon tier. Damage multiplies by 10 at each tier: 1×, 10×, 100×, 1,000×, and onward. Your gun grows and gains new barrels and effects. Dying resets your streak and weapon power, but keeps your elimination count for the current match. Weapon pickups change your base gun; the current streak multiplier still applies.
Winning and starting again
The first robot to reach 100 eliminations wins. After the results, a new match starts automatically, with the next arena in the rotation. You respawn after a knockout. Match scores and streaks reset for the next round, and reloading the page starts a fresh session.
A good first round: keep moving, learn a ramp route, use cover to break incoming fire, and save your second jump for when you need extra height.
Explore the expanded arena
The South Deck and Crown Deck add a second set of raised fighting routes. Ramps lead onto both side perches for flanking. Step onto either glowing mint BOOST pad to launch upward automatically; you still have one midair jump to adjust your landing. Extra health and weapon pickups reward exploring the outer routes.
Four arenas, 25 fighters
Choose Neon Yard, Redrock Canyon, Frostbite Basin, or Overgrown Ruins in the starting tutorial. Each arena has its own terrain, cover, ramps, pickups, and launch pads. After each first-to-30 match, the next arena loads automatically; the fourth rotates back to Neon Yard. Every match has 25 total fighter slots, filled by people and bots, and your movement and firing controls stay the same across all landscapes.
Find your route through each landscape
Neon Yard uses cargo stacks and cranes as landmarks. Redrock Canyon adds tall cliffs and a sandstone arch with a passage beneath it. Frostbite Basin has glacier walls, snowbanks, and a frozen bridge. Overgrown Ruins combines giant tree trunks with mossy temple gateways. These structures block movement and shots where solid; arch openings remain passable.
